Weeds

Thoughts are like weeds in a garden.

If you aren’t aware of them, they will run rampant.
If you feed them thinking they are the plants you wish to cultivate, they will grow.
If you attempt to pull them out by anything but the root, you only make them stronger.
To get rid of weeds you must pull them out at the root, you must see your thoughts naked for what they are, penetrate to the root of your thoughts and they will be born, grow, shrink and die of their own accord.

Alone

Sitting here wondering why
when it was things went a rye
Suddenly it came to my attention
This was all my own invention

It was not my intention
to move in this direction
But being where I am right now
It’s not so bad

Loneliness sweeps over me
Because I long for illusions of the past and future
When you can be truly alone with yourself
You will not be burdened by this reality
