thoughts that just wont go

hard to find the time
so many thoughts swirling through my mind
Why do I create this needless strife?
Why can’t I just go forth and live life?

Right and wrong become another pop song
when the truth was right beside me all along

things I entertained when I was a child
seeing them in others now drives me wild

The past can never come back again,
But we’ve grown from it, twisted and turned
you always receive what you send
it takes so long to realize the bridges you burned

Mental churning, senses yearning
but through all this, we keep on learning…

  1. As I read your poem…I could hear how many times I have had that same conversation with myself…thanks for sharing.
